Arts, Crafts and Antiques in North Essex

Artists have recognised how beautiful North Essex is for centuries, from the likes of Constable painting the Stour Valley which meanders along the Essex/Suffolk borders to renowned artists such as Edward Bawden, John Aldridge and Eric Ravilous who made Great Bardfield their home.

North Essex has an abundance of Antique shops, with Townsford Mill being one of the largest antique centres around.   Coggeshall is a great place to wander around taking in all its little antique shops and what they offer. 

There are plenty of craft events across the year such as the Essex Art and Design Show that is held at Cressing Temple and July is the F7 festival, designed to make the arts and crafts as accessible as possible with a full calendar of events.
